Joyce Bailey teaches all of the inclass courses currently presented at Bailey Academy and here is a little information about Joyce... Most of the appraisal courses presented at Bailey Academy have been developed by Joyce Bailey. Joyce has been an educator for more than half of her life and earned a Master of Education degree from LSU-Shreveport. She entered the real estate field more than 20 years ago, obtained her broker's license and established her own real estate brokerage company. Real estate appraising stirred her interest and she became an appraiser in Louisiana and has been a Certified Residential Appraiser in Louisiana, Virginia and Georgia. She has taught real estate and appraising for more than 18 years. After moving to Georgia in 1996, Joyce continued to pursue appraising and became a Certified General Appraiser (GA#208716) and an AQB Nationally Certified USPAP Instructor. In 2002, Joyce fulfilled a long term dream of having her own school providing quality real estate related education. Bailey Academy, conveniently located in metro Atlanta near I-75 North and I-285, held its first class in January, 2003, and is currently concentrating in appraisal continuing education and classification courses. Bailey Academy presents a wide variety of appraisal continuing education and classification courses including the 7-hour AQB USPAP Update Course that every appraiser must take every other renewal period.
